Security is a great concern to most people, whether you reside in a busy city, a small town or even a rural farm community. You would like to believe that you and your family are immune from the terrible crimes that continue to plague this world. Are you willing to take that chance with the lives of your family, or with the business you built from scratch?

The wireless surveillance camera has definitely evolved within the last few years. Unless you have recently shopped for or purchased a camera, you may not be aware of the vast improvements made to the wireless cameras. The resolution has improved greatly and the transmission has become more powerful. Transmission ranges depend on the frequency, the antenna and the power output. Some of the first-rate receivers are approved by the FCC and include built-in directional antenna, manual channel switcher and video outputs.

They offer flexibility that you just will not find with a wired security camera. Although a color camera provides a more recognizable image, the black and white camera affords a superior quality in low light conditions. In addition to the high caliber video, most of these outdoor security cameras are weatherproof and tamper-proof, which makes them excellent choices to protect your home or business.

Simplistic installation is another advantage of a wireless system. Mount the camera in the preferred location, and plug the receiver into a TV if you would like to view the images live. If you would prefer to record them to watch at a later time, plug the receiver into a recording device. The older models needed a direct line of sight between the camera and the receiver; however the new models can penetrate walls up to 2 feet thick.

There has been much advancement made to the wireless security systems within the past 3 years, and no doubt that will continue to be the case. Don’t take a chance on the security of your loved ones. You will be pleasantly surprised with the affordability as well as the reliability of the current models of outdoor wireless cameras on the market today.

Who Needs A Nanny Cam? March 14, 2007

The term “nanny cam” originated as a solution for worried parents, to ease their mind knowing that their children were not being harmed by their caregivers. However, the possible uses for them are as endless as the cleverly disguised tiny cameras, it seems. The effortless installation is another advantage these hidden cameras have going for them.

Do you need a nanny cam? Do you employ someone to take care of your most precious assets, whether it’s a nanny or a full time babysitter? Or maybe you’re lucky enough to have a close friend, neighbor or relative watch your little ones while you work. You have total trust in these people, don’t you? You know them, so you know they would never put your children in harms way, would they?

This world has become so dangerous and crazy, that it makes us not only doubt strangers, but sometimes people we know, as well. A nanny cam can be an inconspicuous way of keeping an eye on your little darlings and their caregiver. There are many different items that could potentially hide your little spy camera, and believe me, they are virtually undetectable. Not only can the pinhole camera be hidden in stuffed toys and books, but you’ll find them in clocks, telephones, speakers, mirrors, almost any household item. You will be surprised with the superior video quality, too. (Be careful of what you do in front of that Pringles can or the Clorox Wipes, there could be a camera hiding in there!)

You can also keep an eye on your older children who no longer need a sitter. Or, suppose you have aging parents who are in a nursing home, & don’t know what happened to their bruised arm? Perhaps you have a couple of pets who are constantly getting into mischief, it would be nice to see what’s really going on, wouldn’t it? These “nanny cams” are also wonderful for proving infidelity & because of the many ingenious places that these cameras can be found, your spouse won’t realize that you are even watching them.

Whatever reason you may have for keeping watch on your loved ones, a nanny cam is simple to use and easy to install.
